Camping Arlanza

I have stayed here many times, the staff have always been so helpful and gone out of their way to be welcoming. It is a lovely campsite with free pitches amongst the trees beside the little river. I cross the small bridge with my motorbike and find a nice spot on the other side. The cantina does nice food, the shower block is good, wi-fi is available sitting outside your tent! Visit the Necropolis 4 km away through the forest or go up to Laguna Negra de Neila. So much to do from here.

It is a municipal campsite. Is not very big. It is familiar and very quiet if you don't have the plot next to the bar. In the rest, the quiet hour is respected and during the day there is not much commotion. It has a cabin area (I don't know them), pitches for caravans/tents with electricity and a free camping area. You cannot get close to the latter by car (they are on the other side of the river). There is some fountain around the campsite (few). The plots are uneven, some large and others very small, some with a lot of shade and others without anything,... On their website it says that reservations are not made but this is incorrect. You can call and reserve. The bathrooms are clean and with paper. The showers are not the worst I've had, but they could be better (good hot water, a little weak jet, very short timer, so you have to continually press the button). At least the showers are spacious, although a dry area is missing (there are only two hooks and no separation from the shower). I didn't have to wait at any time to use the bathrooms or showers. The sink area is also large and sufficient. The taps don't have hot water (there are only a couple to soak something in, but you can't scrub with hot water). The price includes access to the municipal swimming pool (fantastic), outside the campsite but very very close. For the price, 100% recommended.

A pleasant location where you can enjoy nature listening to the gurgling of the Arlanza River in the shade of the pine trees. The place is beautiful but the management of the restaurant leaves much to be desired due to the arbitrary rules they impose. For example, the tables located on the restaurant terrace are served on one side but not on the other. A logical thought asks why? There's no answer. It is what it is. In my opinion bad, very bad. As for the cuisine, it offers menus with good quality-price ratio. The service is pleasant if you manage to sit at the right table. Otherwise you have to personally carry the order. Crazy. Self-service does not imply a price reduction. They also offer breakfast. Be careful, the bread, in my opinion, is from the day before. They say in their advertising that they are toast. I think I should say biscuits. The truth is, I don't like it at all because I know that in Quintanar they make wonderful bread that they should serve for breakfast. And also, fresh out of the oven at 8 a.m. But no, I don't know where they get the breakfast bread, honestly. In general I would say that you should visit it mainly for its surroundings.
